Living a long, healthy life is often attributed to diet and activity. But this study suggests that both of those fall far below
1. Social integration
2. Close relationships

These were found to be the top two indicators of longevity and health. The first involves how many times a day you get the opportunity to interact with others, even if just to say howdy and “How are you?” “Hope you’re doing fine.” The second involves who you would ask to bring you a bowl of soup for dinner–something that is easy in cohousing.
